HIV/AIDS is one of Kenya’s most pressing health concerns and offering Antiretroviral Treatment (ART) is a key component of the government’s strategy to reduce HIV/AIDS-related morbidity and mortality. The delivery of ART for HIV/AIDS patients is compromised by ineffective pharmaceutical and patient records management. Telkom Kenya in collaboration with the Communications Commission of Kenya, Dell, RTI International and the Nairobi Provincial Medical Office, executed a project to reduce the administrative burden on health care workers and improve patient care by strengthening pharmaceutical management systems for ART utilizing 3G technology.

Positive Six has travelled to Nairobi on two separate occasions now to document this project.  Once at the launch event back in 2010 and again in August, 2013.
